Dr. Desmond Edem Primus Klenam (PhD) is an Associate Professor of Sustainable Physical Metallurgy and Materials Science at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), South Africa, and an Africa Oxford (AfOx) Visiting Fellow at the University of Oxford. His research specializes in rational alloy design, complex concentrated alloys, and materials characterization.
Dr. Desmond Edem Primus Klenam is an Associate Professor of Sustainable Physical Metallurgy and Materials Science at the School of Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering, University of the Witwatersrand (Wits). He is the Principal Investigator and Co-Director of the Next Frontiers in Advanced Materials Laboratory, an Africa Oxford (AfOx) Visiting Fellow at the Department of Materials, University of Oxford, and a Horizon Fellow of the Wits–Leeds Global Crucible Programme. His research focuses on rational alloy design, high-entropy alloys, additive manufacturing in Africa, and corrosion kinetics of structural steels.
